Cracked (Loki X Reader) (One-shot)


"Hello Loki." you said as you saw him enter the room. He masked the pain he was feeling with a soft smile. "What brings you here?"

"I've come to speak with-"

"Oh wait." you paused. "I don't care."

You turned around and left Loki all alone. Both of you felt as though your hearts were breaking. All of this because of a fight that happened over a year ago, which resulted in you breaking up. You wanted to start a family but Loki was against the idea, saying he was nowhere near ready to be a father. And so, after fighting and fighting about it, you both went your separate ways.

I broke something I'll never get, I'll never get back

"Real mature." you said to yourself, making sure you were alone before speaking aloud. "How can we absolve when I treat him like this? I'm a horrible person." you said, hiding your face in your hands.

Meanwhile Loki was slumping into the couch and sighing loudly.

"She will never forgive me." he said to himself as he stared up at the ceiling. "She probably only sees me as some sort of monster that doesn't want children."

"I have to tell him the truth." you said, standing straight. "I need to tell him that I still love him and that I don't care if we don't have kids."

-Back to Loki-

"I must get her to listen to me. She needs to pardon me of my wicked past." Loki said, practically jumping up off the couch. "I've changed. I was an idiot then for saying all of those things."

-Back to you-

"I'm gonna march back in there and say it."

-Back to Loki-

"I've got to go after her."

As the two of you sprinted towards the other in the dark hallways you ended up crashing into one another and falling to the ground.

"Owww." you said, rubbing your head.

"(Name)! Are you alright! Forgive me I did not see you!" Loki shouted, coming to your aid.

"It-it's fine. I'm fine." you said, backing away. Loki got the wrong idea.

"I'm sorry." he said, beginning to retreat.

"Could you help me up?" you asked, shyly.

"Yes of course." he grinned, standing up and holding out his hand for yours.

You had a hard time finding his hand in the darkness but you eventually took hold of his hand and he brought you to your feet. You then started pulling him towards the room he was just in, clutching his hand tightly. Once in the room you found it hard to face him and so you stood there in silence just holding his hand.

"(Name), I am terribly sorry." Loki started to apologize. "I wish you would forgive me for what happened back then. I have changed I promise you. I-"

He stopped speaking as you turned around and looked up at him. Both of you were shocked to see one another crying.

"I still love you." Loki cried, gripping your hand firmly.

"I still love you too." you smiled. "I don't care if we don't have kids. I just want you."

Loki pulled you into his chest and wrapped his arms around you.

"I've missed you." he said, softly.

"I've missed you too." you mumbled into his chest just before he took your head in his hands and pulled you into a kiss.

*Extended Ending*

"What are you doing?" Thor asked Tony.

"Watching (Name) and Loki." he answered as he watched the security videos. Then he looked at the screen disappointingly as you walked away. "Go back. Kiss and make up."

"Why are you spying on them?" Thor asked.

"I want them to get back together. That's the only reason why I invite him over." Tony stated. "Come on, go after her." Tony demanded, watching Loki sit there on the couch. "Idiots! You both love each other!" Tony yelled in disappointment and anger before noticing Loki arise from the couch then starting to run and you running back towards him.

Then you ran into each other, Tony and Thor couldn't help but laugh. They watched and sat in anticipation as you pulled Loki through the dark hallway and back into the light. Tears escaped their eyes as you and Loki cried. Tony and Thor were screaming and jumping for joy as Loki pulled you into a hug.

"Yes! Yes! Yes! Finally!" Tony shouted, crying happy tears. "My OTP is canon!"

"What is OTP and what is being canon-ed?" Thor asked, confused.

"Fear not blondie. I shall teach you." Tony grinned. "I taught Steve all about it last week."

Tony went on to explain to Thor all about fandoms, the meaning of OTP, and so much more.
