Bruce watched you as you began to get ready for the day. The day of your first ultrasound appointment. Both of you were so excited.

"What do you think the baby is? A boy or a girl?" you asked him.

"I don't know. What do you think it is?" he asked you, still watching you.

"I'm not sure." you paused for a moment. "I hope it's a girl."

"A girl? Why a girl?" he asked, curious.

"Why not?" you turned around to meet his gaze and smiled brightly.

Both of you were all smiles as you waited in the doctor’s office. All worries either of you once had were gone.

"(Name) Banner." the nurse called your name and your heart started beating even faster with nervousness and excitement. Bruce took your hand, calming you down. You smiled, causing him to smile before you started leading the way.

When I compliment her she won't believe me

But every time she asks me, "Do I look okay?"

"Any guesses on what it might be?" the doctor said as she started looking for the child’s heartbeat.

"(Name) is hoping for a girl." Bruce smiled.

"What about you?" the doctor said, still looking at the screen.

"Yeah, which one are you hoping for?" you asked him.

"A girl as beautiful, caring, and all around awesome like her mother." he answered, causing you, the doctor, and the nurse to awe. You gave him a quick kiss before the sound of your baby’s heartbeat took your attention.

"There it is. There’s your baby." the doctor said, pointing at the screen. You could feel the tears stinging at your eyes. It wasn't until you looked at Bruce's face that you let the tears fall. Bruce was crying silent tears, while holding your hand in his hands. "Would you like to know the sex?"

"Of course." you said, wiping away tears.

"It's a girl." the doctor said.

"I can't believe it!" you shouted happily as you and Bruce walked through the street. "We're having a girl!"

"I know! I can't stop smiling." Bruce said, grinning from ear to ear. The two of you were basically dancing around in the street, overjoyed. Bruce stopped your dancing suddenly, pulling you close.

"What? What is it?" you asked with a laugh, still smiling.

"I love you." he said, leaning in for a kiss.

"I love you too." you said before your lips met.

"I can't wait to tell everyone." you said, still beaming with joy as the two of you walked hand in hand.

"Should we?" Bruce asked. You looked at him confused. "With everything that's going on with Natasha, Clint, and Tony, should we?"

"Maybe we shouldn't, but I really want to. Is that selfish of me? To push my happiness on them?" you asked.

"We should tell them. They can see it as a happy thing for us or they can pity themselves for their situation." he answered.

"I hope they can be happy for us." you said as Bruce gave you a quick kiss before you both entered Stark tower.

Surprisingly you and Bruce came into the living room with everyone already gathered.

"Are we interrupting something?" Bruce asked.

"No, not anymore." Natasha paused. "Did you find out?"

"Yeah." you answered, grinning.

"What is it?" Tony asked.

"It's a girl!" you and Bruce shouted in unison. Everyone was shouting with joy and congratulating you both.

"Can we tell them?" Tony asked, excited.

"Tell us what?" you asked, confused.

"I'm having a boy." Natasha said. You immediately hugged her.

"So you're going to keep him?" you asked, hopeful.

"Yeah. I'll also know the results of the DNA test tomorrow morning." she said. You hugged her again.

"I'm here for you, you know that right?" you asked, tears started to form.

"And I'm here for you too." she smiled, hugging you again. Bruce watched you both for a while as he talked with the guys. Bruce noticed that both of you had that pregnancy glow. So radiant, and so beautiful.

"I hope the baby is Clint's." you said as you and Bruce entered your room.

"Really? I think it might be Tony's." he said. You looked at him shocked, and hurt. "What?"

"Why would you say that? Natasha wants it to be Clint's. If it's Tony's she is going to look at that child every day and remember her one night of weakness. How could you say that?" you asked defensively.

"She's going to think that every time she looks at the child regardless of who the father is. And all I said was I think it might be his. I never send I hope it to be. Why are you getting so defensive about it? It's really none of your business." Bruce said as he started to get ready for bed.

"None of my business?! She's my best friend!" you shouted.

"It's still none of your business. None of my business either." he said.

"Well then I guess it's none of your business where I sleep tonight." you said, turning on your heel and stomping towards the door.

"Where are you going?" he asked.

"None of your business." you said before slamming the door behind you and running down the hall. Bruce wanted to run after you but it was best that he let you cool down for now. Literally cool down. You were on fire.

*Bonus Scene*

"It is none of my business." you whispered to yourself as you walked through the halls of Stark Tower in your burnt and charred clothing, rubbing your bare belly. “Your mommy isn't a very good wife to your daddy. Mommy argues over things that aren't any of her business, and daddy is just so sweet, and wonderful, and he's going to be a great daddy."

"Well thanks." someone said. You whipped your head around to see Bruce walking towards you. You wanted to cry happy tears. He was too wonderful sometimes. He reached out his hand for yours and you took it gladly. "You should get some sleep."

"I'm sorry about before." you paused. "You were right of course. It's none of my business."

"Of course I'm right." he said jokingly. You slapped his arm playfully. "I'm just kidding."

"I know." you paused again, looking at your attire. "You're not going to yell at me for walking around like this?" you asked as you looked at you up and down.

"I was going to but I found myself not wanting to." he said, trying to sound flirty.

"Oh I kinda want you to." you said. Bruce looked at you confused. "I think I need to take these clothes off don't you?" you said flirtatiously. Bruce finally got the hint.

"Oh." he cleared his throat before you grabbed his hand, pulling him along as you started running to your room. You swung the door open, then turned around to meet his eyes. "I love you."

"I love you too." you said before you cupped his face, pulled it to yours and kissed him.
